There are several other world class hospitals plus many smaller clinics in Chiang Mai providing a full range of medical, dental, and alternative treatments. You'll find that a clear majority of the staff have excellent English skills.

Whether you need Lasik eye correction, dental work, breast enhancment / reduction, cosmetic / plastic surgury, complete knee / hip replacement or... the list goes on... almost any procedure is available in Chiang Mai at a fraction of the cost in the west. You will recieve the same or in many cases better treatment. A private hospital room or suite which is more like a five star hotel with excellent food, also at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay in most western countries.

We advise you that there may be different 'normal' diseases in Asia than there are in your part of the world, and therefore you will not have any immunity (the opposite is also true). We strongly reccommend that you consult your own doctor well before coming and recieve the appropriate innoculations, to minimise the chance of secondary infections and ensure your speedy recovery.
