What is a HomeStay?

For those who are not familiar with the term HomeStay. The Rose of Suthep provides accommodation and other services plus the personal attention of a Thai-Australian couple.
A HomeStay allows visitors to live in a family's home as a member of the family. During your stay with your hosts they share their lives with you, you will have the opportunity to teach a little of your language to your host family and learn a little of theirs while immersing yourself in the culture of the HomeStay you select.

The Rose of Suthep HomeStay provides comprehensive packages at reasonable prices, as well as offering each traveller a great opportunity to have close contact with Thai culture via local people you meet through our HomeStay.

Why is a HomeStay more expensive than a hotel?

A hotel rate includes basic accommodation only. Everything else is extra; meals, laundry, internet (if it's even available) anything and everything is extra. And you're just a customer, a number, just a source of revenue.

Most HomeStays offer much more. A HomeStay is so much more personal, like staying with friends or family. that's got to be better than a hotel! Many guests will become life long friends, and keep in touch from whatever part of the world they call home.

The Rose of Suthep HomeStay offers comprehensive, all inclusive packages with airport transfers, meals, laundry, internet access, almost everything! Just like staying with friends. While you're with us, and perhaps ever after, you're like a member of the family, a close friend. Of course if you only want accommodation, or if you want a single fixed price package with tours and everything included: We can tailor a package to suit your needs.

A Complete Vacation

The Rose of Suthep HomeStay is not a hotel with hundreds of rooms. We have Just three. Because we only have three rooms we can give our guests our personal attention.
If you dine at home you dine with us. May cooks wonderful Thai meals... aroy maak! (which means delicious! very good taste), and I'm a qualified Chef (as if you'd come to Thailand and eat western food).
When you wish to dine out, we take you.
When you go sight seeing, we take you.
If you want to go clubbing, we'll take you. Maybe you'll meet a lovely Thai girl or boy who'll become your sweetheart...
If you want to marry and / or honeymoon in Thailand, we'll be happy to help you organise a traditional Thai Buddhist wedding ceremony. And the Songkran Room is the perfect choice for honeymooners!
