The Tradidional Thai Wedding Ceremony is a beautiful, whole-day affair which includes many blessings, dance performance and feasting.
We can plan the whole event for you! With as much or as little detail and glamour as you wish. This will of course affect the price.

The Thai Wedding Day begins 09:00 with a minibus taking you to a Temple to make offerings to the Monks. The Monks will then bless the couple by chanting and splashing holy water on them. The religous part is now over and you will be returned back home.
This is not mandatory, many couples chose not to include this part.

If you wish, and if you have all your paperwork in order, we can take you to the Ampur office during the morning to have the union officially resistered. A marriage officially registered in Thailand is recognised in every country. This can be done at any time before or after the ceremony, or not at all, Thai families consider you married even if you never officially register. Some couples may wait years between the registration and the ceremony, regardless which was first.
...or you could just go back to bed...

Around 16:00 (4:00 PM) the couple will be collected again to be dressed in traditional Northern Thai style costume and recieve full, professional makeup and hair dressing.
At 18:00 (6:00 PM) the remainder of the wedding party adjourns to The Old Chiang Mai Cultural Centrefor the main ceremony.
The bride awaits the groom's parade at the end of which he will ask for her hand. Traditionally, he should bring a dowry of gold jewellery and cash (not strictly adhered to these days).
The groom must pay a little cash to pass two "gates" symbolised by a silver and a gold chain held across the grooms path, of course the amount to pass the gold gate is greater.
The couple then kneel close together at a low table while a long piece of string is looped around their heads and between them by an elder.
The Elder then blesses them with several chants.
Each guest in turn then ties a piece of string around the couples wrists, binding them together. This is believed to give the couple prosperity.

LET THE FEAST (and show) BEGIN!
