Eakachai Houseboat

Mae Ngad Dam is the largest in Chiang Mai. Set in Sri Lanna National Park surrounded by acres of pristine mountains and verdant forests. A "long tail boat" brings us far from the dam wall to where it just seems like a huge lake in the middle of a forest. The locals live and work and play on the water, fishing, swimming, canoeing, partying.
We visit Eakachai Houseboat, a floating resort, and relax. You may go kayaking and trekking to a magnificent waterfall and a cave with stalactites and miniature bats. Ride (fall-off) the bannana boat, enjoy many other activities or just relax on the deck with a cold beer and watch the sun go down. Accommodations are... adequate.

Tiger Kingdom

The Tiger is a wild animal, but here everybody can play, touch, and take picture up close with the tigers. Second time I went there (April 2008) there were 6 month olds, just playful kittens, but, the size of rottweilers! (I got a small bite, hahaha). The restaurant overlooks the pen. Enjoy a tasty lunch while observing the behavior of the tigers.
