The cool season is the best time for these ornithologists. It's the time when birds migrate from the cold of more northern places like Mongolia, Siberia, China and Korea, flocking to their ancestral second homes in Southeast Asia. In this part of Thailand, they're particularly attracted to the highest mountains; Doi Inthanon, Doi Angkhang, Doi Pahompok, Doi Suthep and Doi Chiangdao among them, Doi Inthanon is famous for bird-watching in Thailand because there are some 382 species or approximately 38.2% of all the bird species of Thailand.
