CHIANG MAI MONKEY CENTRE

Chiang Mai Monkey CentreRight next door to the X-Centre is the Chiang Mai Monkey Centre, it's not only good for a laugh, it's also educational. Farmers of various crops use monkeys to pick their produce, coconuts, tamarinds etc... these displays show how clever our ancestors are.
It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, love and the patience of a saint to train these little creatures. But most monkeys are ready to take to the stage after about two months with their trainer. The animals are well looked after and enjoy regular visits from a local vet to ensure that they are in the best of health.

KANG KUED ELEPHANT CAMP

Kaeng Kued Elephant camp, Trekking, white Water Rafting Ta Nid is in his 70s and still going strong, this pint size whirlwind has been taking trekking groups for over 15 years. He will take us trekking through the jungle to Huey Sa Thaan waterfall, rafting and riding elephants. The days are filled with spectacular jungle views as you pass by, observing wildlife in its natural habitat (although I must admit, I doubt you'll have time to admire the scenery). The clear water begins and the wild ride ends, at an open-air cafe for a feed a beer and jokes about the day.

EAKACHAI HOUSEBOAT

OK so not exactly an adreneline fix but maybe you'll need a rest after all that... Mae Ngad Dam is the largest in Chiang Mai. Set in Sri Lanna National Park surrounded by acres of pristine mountains and verdant forests. A "long tail boat" brings us far from the dam wall to where it just seems like a huge lake in the middle of a forest. The locals live and work and play on the water, fishing, swimming, canoeing, partying.
We visit Eakachai Houseboat, a floating resort, and relax. You may go kayaking and trekking to a magnificent waterfall and a cave with stalactites and miniature bats.
Ride (fall-off) the bannana boat, go fishing right off the deck of the houseboat, enjoy many other activities or just relax on the deck with a cold beer and watch the sun go down. Accommodations are... adequate.
