The Rose of Suthep HomeStay is a private home in the city of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Also known as "The Rose of the North". The second largest city in Thailand and unofficial 'capital' of northern Thailand, once the capital of the mighty Lanna Kingdom. At 310m (1020') above sea level, Chiang Mai has a slightly milder climate than most of Thailand.

We're 10 minutes from the heart of the city, and the airport. Close enough to get to the action and far enough away that it doesn't bother us...

If you wish to see elephants performing, try another camp, the purpose of the Elephant Nature Park is the care of the animal, not the entertainment of the tourist.
That said, it is still a great day out, educational, informative and interesting.
